7/12/08 - It was a busy Saturday night in downtown Columbus as Cathy, Maxx (Naserine Machine), and I made our way out to Bernie's there on High Street. We parked in a garage on the free tip and walked a block over to gain entrance to the bar. Upon walking in I was immediately struck by the personality the place held. It was covered with stickers, flyers, and graffitii all the way down the steps and into the main area. This place is the Millenium Falcon of bars; "What a piece of junk!" but she sure does deliver! That's what I loved about it.

So, we get in and the stage is already being rocked. It's not so much a stage as it is a slightly raised corner of the room that has special lights. It really gets you close to the band to feed off the energy.

Skagnetti took the stage and played a truly punk set. Mad, crazy energy emitted from that group for sure that I really dug. They even had the owner (I think that's who it was) on stage to sing during a song and I think he just said "fuck" over and over. It was pretty amusing, nonetheless. Then the Nerds hit the stage and rocked the fuck out! Comparing other performances, their set seemed more comfortable and all out!

The crowd was pumped as was I. There was this girl rocking out in front of the stage, dancing away. I started to record her for a second and before I knew it she was flashing me some boobage. Nice. Personally, that was my highlight, but I'm a perv who had yet to masturbate that day, so. Anyways, the heat was on when they played "In Defense of my Sperm" as Adam gifted the ladies by jiggling his beer gut to the opening bass line layed down like a mack by Aaron. The on-stage antics went wild through the end of the show! Truly fucking awesome, guys, but don't break the mic!
